The Kulin Bush Races have been busy giving away money to community groups and organising this year’s event entertainment.
On Sunday the 24th June 2018 the Kulin Bush Races presented a cheque for a whopping $52,000 spread across 6 community groups/organisations here in Kulin. The successful funding recipients were; Kulin Arts, Camp Kulin, Masonic Lodge, Kulin Motor Museum, Kulin Bowling Club and the Kulin District High School. The day was a fantastic opportunity to highlight the contributions Kulin Bush Races make to the wider community.

In a separate presentation by Tom Murphy the Kulin Bush Races presented a cheque to Kulin District High School. Tom had the following to say about the presentation;
“It was with great pleasure that I was able to present a cheque for $20,000 to the Kulin District High School on behalf of the Kulin Bush Races. For me it reinforces why we put so much hard work into running our amazing event. In addition to the sense of community, fulfilment and pride that I and many others get from volunteering at the races, the knowledge that we are supporting our local school (Kulin District High School) makes it all worthwhile. We really hope that the students enjoy using their new computers and that they in-turn will support the Bush Races in the years to come.” – Tom Murphy, Vice Chairman of the Kulin Bush Races Committee.
We can’t wait to see how these groups use the money to bring their ideas to fruition.
