Kulin Bush Races boasts a healthy seven race program.

The races fill fast once nominations open with most riders nominating for bragging rights in the Kulin Cup. With over $20,000 in prize money there is plenty of incentive to show off some good old outback horsemanship.

CATEGORIES

Race 1- Jilakin Classic- 12.00pm- Total Value $2800- 1st $1500, 2nd $750, 3rd $350, 4th $200. 600m- Unregistered horses

Race 2- Pingaring Plate- 12.45pm- Total Value $2800- 1st $1500, 2nd $750, 3rd $350, 4th $200. 800m- Open class horses

Race 3- Dudinin Dash- 1.30pm- Total Value $2800- 1st $1500, 2nd $750, 3rd $350, 4th $200. 400m- Unregistered horses

Race 4- Kulin Cup- 2.30pm- Total Value $4700- 1st $2500, 2nd $1250, 3rd $650, 4th $300. 1000m- Open class horses

Race 5- Holt Rock Handicap- 3.15pm- Total Value $2800- 1st $1500, 2nd $750, 3rd $350, 4th $200.600m- Open class horses 10+ years

Race 6- Tin Horse Hustle- 4.00pm- Total Value $2800- 1st $1500, 2nd $750, 3rd $350, 4th $200. 400m- Unregistered horses

Race 7- Varley Stakes- 4.45pm- Total Value $2800- 1st $1500, 2nd $750, 3rd $350, 4th $200. 800m- Open class horses

Race Rules

The race rules will be strictly adhered to for our protection, your protection and to ensure the future of the Kulin Bush Races.

All nomination, eligibility and conduct rules are determined by Racing and Wagering Western Australia, and will be enforced by the Kulin Bush Races Committee. For all the rules, please click on the Nomination Rules and Conduct Rules at the top of the page.

All horse nominations must be approved by Racing and Wagering Western Australia before racing.

To nominate for the 2021 Westcoast Wool & Livestock Kulin Bush Races you will be required to download and print the following PDF documents from the top of this page. *If you do not have access to a printer, please visit your local CRC for assistance. Alternatively, you can download and complete all documents using an online PDF editing & signing program.

Please read all documents thoroughly before nominating.  

You must then complete the following documents IN FULL.

  1. Nomination Rules bottom section
  2. Picnic Nomination Form
  3. Statutory Declaration Form

Once completed, the THREE documents must be returned via email or post. If emailing, please attach documents in PDF form only. MOBILE SCREENSHOTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. There are many apps that convert pictures to PDF if you need to email from a mobile device.

We look forward to receiving your nomination. You will receive an email confirming that your nomination has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please follow this up with us to make sure it has not been missed.

We have extended the closing date... NOMINATIONS now CLOSE 6th August 2021 *If races are not filled, we may extend the closing date.

Nominations will be placed in races on a FIRST IN, FIRST SERVED basis. Once nominations have all been processed you will receive an email indicating which races you have been successful for.
