The Kulin Bush Races is far more than just horse races
The weekend offers up to 4,000 excited guests a wide range of events and activities starting on Friday afternoon and finishing up with a good hearty breakfast on Sunday morning. There is something for everybody; camping, live music, novelty events, kids' entertainment, races and great country hospitality.

Event Line Up
The action begins on Friday afternoon when the bar opens and leads into a night of socialising, local food, racing mini tin horses and dancing to live music.
Saturday is the main day of the Kulin Bush Races and everywhere you turn, you’ll find something to do: racing, live music, fashions on the field, kids' activities and great food. The night is capped off with an amazing fireworks display, which leads into the headline act on the main stage.
The Great Aussie Revival Breakfast on Sunday morning rounds off an amazing weekend.
Kids' Entertainment
The Kulin Bush Races is an event for the entire family; we provide free entertainment for the kids all weekend and endeavour to provide entertainment for every age group.
Previous entertainment has included Old McDonald’s Farm, laser tag, climbing wall, trampolines, gladiator duel, bucking bull, spider mountain and bungee run just to name a few. There is also a dedicated Kids' Tent open on Saturday to keep younger children entertained with a sandpit, face painting and craft activities.
Live entertainment
Kulin Bush Races prides itself on selecting a range of live music that entertains our diverse crowd throughout the weekend. From a DJ’d disco for the kids, cover bands to headline acts like Eskimo Joe (2017), there is something for everyone.
The live music kicks off at 3pm Friday in the Marquee Bar until closing time at 11 pm. Then more live music on Saturday in the Marquee from 4pm to 7pm and Main Bar 4pm to midnight.
Food & Drink
A variety of delicious cuisine catering for all tastes is offered throughout the weekend starting at 3pm on Friday, 8.00am on Saturday and 6.30am on Sunday. Food is provided by Kulin Bush Races and visiting food vendors.
A wide range of drinks are served at the Kulin Bush Races including quality West Australian wine, beers, cider, ginger beer, spirits, mixed drinks, soft drink and water. On Friday, the bar in the marquee opens from 3pm to 11pm. On Saturday, the Marquee, Sponsors and Main Bar (located at the southern end of the track) open from 11am to 1am.
Kulin Bush Races is a non BYO event on Friday and Saturday. The KBR licence commences at 3pm Friday and NO alcohol can be taken into the licensed area.
Payment Options
Cash or card may be used at the Marquee Bar and food outlets.
Vouchers are used exclusively at the Main Bar and can be purchased with cash or card. Vouchers are valid only for the duration of the event and cannot be used at outside vendor stalls.
There is a cash facility available at the track located in the Kulin Bush Races bank. Cash can be withdrawn from 3pm to 11pm Friday and 9.30am to 11pm Saturday.
There is an ATM in town located at the Kulin Community Bank Branch at 1/157 Bull Street.
Support local
Kulin Bush Races Inc committee and volunteers comprise of a community group who work to raise necessary funds for projects that benefit the Kulin community and surrounds.
The support provided by our visitors, who shop locally in town and purchase food and drink from the stalls, is paramount for the success and longevity of Kulin Bush Races.
Merchandise
A variety of merchandise is available for purchase at the track on Friday and Saturday. A large and fun range of clothing for adults and kids is available each year with new designs and colours. Other items on sale include stubby holders, wine cups, hats, beanies, bags and tin horse highway memorabilia. Merchandise is located on the deck at the southern end of the marquee.

This is a no BYO event on Friday and Saturday. The Kulin Bush Races licence commences at 3pm Friday and NO alcohol can be taken into the licensed area.
Entry charge for Adults is $150 and children aged 13 to 17 is $20 each. Children 12 and under are free. There are no gate sales at the Kulin Bush Races. All tickets must be purchased online via the Kulin Bush Races website prior to the event.
Bring your tent, swag, caravan, recreational vehicle, or camper trailer to the Kulin Bush Races. There are more than 1,000 camping sites available. The camping area is on the northern surrounds of the racetrack and is in walking distance from the main events.
