What is included with our ticket?
All event tickets include entry into the Kulin Bush Races, all entertainment across the weekend (including kids entertainment and live bands), access to amenities, food outlets, bar and camping Friday & Saturday night.
Are kids free?
Children 12 and under are free, children 13-17 are $10 each for entry to the event.
Is there entertainment for kids?
YES! We have loads of entertainment for kids across the weekend including Spider Mountain, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Kids Activity Tent, Old McDonald’s Farm, Laser Tag and much more.
How much is Camping?
Camping on Friday and Saturday is free. If you wish to come earlier than Friday night a camping fee of $30.00 per vehicle, per night payable by cash only at the gate with a valid Event Ticket. (Gates are open Wednesday & Thursday 9am to 9pm- gates will be closed outside of these times). Tent, swag, caravan, RV & camper trailers recommended. Camping is restricted to designated camping zones. 8km/ph speed limit applies. Some accomodation is available in Kulin.
Can we reserve a camping spot for the weekend?
No unfortunately the camping is allocated on arrival and it is a case of first in best dressed. Camping sites cannot be booked. Marking out and “holding” large areas is not acceptable. Camping is not permitted under lighting towers. Camping space is limited so please keep your camp within the marked bays.
Are camp fires allowed?
Small, contained fires that are always attended and supervised are acceptable, weather permitting. Please BYO fire wood and do not collect wood from the property/site. Should the weather not be suitable for fires then the Fire Marshall on site will instruct that fires are not allowed or instruct that any fires must be extinguished .
Are dogs or pets allowed into the event or camping grounds?
No unfortunately pets are not allowed at the Kulin Bush Races event, this includes the camping area at the track.
Can we bring a generator to power our camp?
A silenced generator is allowed to run in the camping area witinin the times of 9am to 9pm. Please show respect for other campers and keep noise and usage to a minimum.
What type of amenities are available?
Hot showers and clean toilets are available to all attending the event Wednesday to Sunday only. Please do not arrive before Wednesday and please vacate the property on Sunday.
How far is the closest fuel station?
Unleaded fuel and diesel is available at the fuel facility located in Kulin which is 15km from the track (event).
Is there EFTPOS available?
Yes EFTPOS is available at the track on Friday night and Saturday from 10am.
When is the first horse race run on Saturday?
The first races commences at 12:30pm with the barrel race competition commencing prior to this.
When is the last horse race?
The last race is at approximately 5pm.
What time do the fireworks start?
The fireworks commence at 8pm on Saturday night. Please do not BYO fireworks. Any-one caught with fireworks will be escorted off the premises.
Can we BYO alcohol?
No, Kulin Bush Races is a NON BYO event – this includes the camping area. Please do not bring alcohol to the event. Please do not bring glass bottles onto the property.
Is there a bus to and from the racetrack into Kulin?
Yes, there is a free bus service with the last bus to town being at 12.30am. Times for the free bus will be in the Event Guide/Race Book and are also published on our website.
Is there food available?
Yes, there is food available for purchase across the whole weekend.

Friday – Race Track – Bar open 3pm-11pm, Food including Lamb shanks-Fish/Chips- Food Vans- Live Entertainment with live band in the Marquee Bar. Tin Horse Races – Proceeds to RFDS.
Saturday – JILAKIN RACE TRACK 8.30am Camp Hart Memorial Service From 9am Barrel Racing, Opening Parade, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Kids Activity Tent, Old McDonald’s Farm, Fantastic Wine, Country Cuisine, Two Up, Fireworks & Headline Act. Music until 12am.
